Is there any limit to what Garbage Guy will haul away?
We are not able to dispose of hazardous materials in your local landfill. Examples of household hazardous waste includes automobile and household batteries, tires, paints and stains, adhesives, solvents, motor oil, antifreeze, transmission and hydraulic fluids, gasoline and diesel fuel, pool chemicals, household cleaners, weed killer and pesticides.

Some items require special handling. These include appliances containing Freon and electronic items such as computers, printers, monitors and televisions. While other companies might refuse these items, Garbage Guy can handle it!

Many communities now offer a drop-off station for hazardous materials or special collection days. Just visit the web page for your town or city’s government and follow the utilities or solid waste links.

You can also visit Earth911.org to find recycling and disposal programs in your area or visit some of these links that we have collected.

Why does Garbage Guy recycle and donate some items? Wouldn’t it be easier just to take everything to the dump?
Did you know that the average American produces about 4.4 pounds of garbage per day? That’s 1600 pounds of garbage every single year! With the amount of garbage produced in America alone, you could form a line of filled garbage trucks that would reach the moon.

So it only makes sense that we do what we can to reduce the amount of garbage that goes to the landfill. Sure, it would be easier for us to take everything to the dump. But it wouldn’t be the right thing. And Superheroes always do the right thing.
